参考词汇：修建地基 lay a foundation of；财产 wealth；捐赠 donate...to...
I’m a builder. When other builders and I laid a foundation of a building, we dug out some ancient cultural relics. At that time, some people suggested we sell them so that we could get some money. But I didn’t agree with them because I think these cultural relics are our country’s wealth. As Chinese people, we should protect them. So I told the other builders we shouldn’t sell them, because cultural relics represent a country’s culture and history. Besides, we should donate these culture relics to our country in case they might be sold abroad secretly. We shouldn’t lose them.

假如你是李华，学校英语角以My favorite sport 为题开展征文。请你根据以下要点写一篇英语短文投稿。
My favorite sport
Of all the sports, I like table tennis best. I became interested in it when I was very young.
I'm fond of Chinese Team players, such as Wang Nan, Zhang Yining, Ma Long, Zhang Jike, and so on. I think it is not only a sport but also an art, because it is a game that needs strength and skill. The reason why I like it very much is that it is our national sport as well as of great benefit to us. Playing table tennis can build up our bodies, keep us healthy and train our brains. What's more, it can help us to learn to cooperate(合作) with each other. In a word, I like it very much. Though I can't play it well, I still try my best to practice it.

话题7：保护稀有物种（Unit4 Wildlife Protection）
I’m writing to you because I want humans to save the endangered tigers.
It is said that there are only 400 tigers left in our China and the number is still decreasing. As we all know, tiger is one of the most valuable animals to human beings today. But some people kill them in order to earn some money. Besides too many trees have been cut down，which destroyed their habitats. So I think that the government should take some measures to protect tigers and punish the hunters. I do hope that we all try our best to make our earth pleasant and peaceful, not only for human beings but also for animals.
Thanks for your reading.
话题8：保护稀有物种（Unit4 Wildlife Protection）
上周，你班组织了一场以“Should endangered animals be kept in zoos?”为题的英语辩论会，请你根据表格提示写一篇英语短文，给校英语报投稿，介绍此次辩论的情况，并发表个人看法。
Should endangered animals be kept in zoos?
Last week our class had a debate about （关于…进行讨论）whether endangered animals should be kept in zoos? Different students have different opinions.
The supporters say that the zoo is the best place for endangered animals because they have a better chance of surviving in zoos than in the wild. We can prevent them from dying out （防止他们灭亡）by providing them with food and shelter. At the same time, people will know more about these animals.
However, those who are against the idea （反对这个观点）argue that animals kept in zoos will gradually lose their ability to survive in the wild in the long run（从长远来看）. In addition, it is not good for the balance of nature.
Personally, I think keeping endangered animals in zoos is not the best way to protect them. Animals should live in the wild where they belong. We can protect them by protecting their habitats（保护他们的栖息地）.
Dear Mr. Cousins,
Since you are a well-known musician, I’m writing this e-mail to ask you for some advice on how to form a band.
I,as well as two boys and two girls in different classes in our school, want to form a band. We are all fond of pop music and modern dance. I’d like to know whether we should play one kind of music or different styles to start with. And is it enough to practise only at weekends? How can we get more chances to perform?
We’d appreciate it if you would come up with a name for our band.
Looking forward to your reply.
